Laser gum treatment, as the name suggests, is a treatment protocol using lasers to help heal gum disease as well as clean, contour, and shape the gums. Gum disease is a condition where the gums become red, inflamed (swollen), and/or sore. Mild gum disease is referred to as gingivitis and usually just affects the gums. Once it reaches beyond the gums and into your bone, it is referred to as periodontitis.
